Security Guard - Nelson (Casual)

Commissionaires BC is looking for security guards to join our casual on call Reserves Division team in Nelson.

Shifts will vary in location and times so flexibility in availability would be preferred.

Pay rate: from $20 per hour

Your Must-Haves:

· BC Security License

· You have resided in Canada for the last five years to be eligible for clearances

· Availability to work at a variety of sites and locations

· You have excellent problem solving skills

· You can work under pressure

·Able to stand for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions

Your Nice-To-Haves:

· RCMP Reliability clearance

· You have a valid Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract

· Hold OFA 1 or OFA 2

Some of your responsibilities include:

· Patrolling various sites/locations

· Offering first class customer service to both clients and general public

· Mobile patrolling/ticketing

· Access Control

· CCTV Monitoring

· Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts

· Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports

· Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
