Security Guard - Vancouver Maternity Coverage

Vancouver, BC, Canada - Temporary

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for a Security Guard to work at a Commercial site in located near Renfrew SkyTrain station. 

Rotation: Monday to Friday 8am till 4pm ending February 28th, 2026

Wage: $21.50/hr

Your Must-Haves:  

  • A valid BC Security License  
  • Strong computer and administrative skills
  • Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills 

Some of your responsibilities include:  

  • Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
  • Perform interior and perimeter patrols
  • Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
  • Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public 
  • Act as a line of emergency response and provide first aid to all site users in a prompt, easily accessible and appropriate manner 
  • Report all incidences to the Site Manager and provide investigation report.

Your Nice to Haves:

  • You have resided in Canada for the last five years (for clearance purposes) 
  • Class 5 drivers license
  • First Aid/AST

 Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.   

Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
