Security Guard - TP Kelowna

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security guards for one of our sites in Kelowna, BC. We are looking for guards who are interested in supporting and working with those in need.

Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country. Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings. Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
Position hours:
- Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (FT - Afternoon)
- Thursday & Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Casual - Graveyard)
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
- Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including mechanical rooms
- Equipment alarm response and monitoring
- Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
- Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
- Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public
- Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.
- A valid BC Security License
- Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- A valid Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate
- Prior security experience in a similar environment
