Security Guard - Castlegar Airport
Castlegar, BC, Canada - Part Time
We are looking for a Security Officer for Castlegar Airport.
Schedule: Sat & Sun 9am - 2pm + holidays
Payrate: $19/hr
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Patrolling site, observing and reporting any occurrences/breaches immediately
- Offering first class customer service to both client and general public
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
- Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded in the occurrence log/incident form
- Contacting and liaising with police personnel if necessary
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of and perform all duties with high safety standards
Your Must-Haves:
- BC Security License
- Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent)
- Class 5 Driver's License + clean abstract
- Have lived in Canada for 5 or more years in order to obtain clearances
- You have excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
