Security Guard - Vernon

Coldstream, BC, Canada - Part Time

Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security guards to work weekends at a site in Lavington, BC. 

Position hours:  Saturday - Sunday 7am till 3pm or Friday - Saturday 11pm till 7am. 
Wage: $22.00 per hour

Your Must-Haves:  
  • A valid BC Security License  
  • Class 5 BC Driver's License, personal vehicle and a clean driver's abstract
  • A valid OFA 1
  • Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills 
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Ability to complete continuous foot patrols, walk up and down multiple sets of stairs during your shift
  • Ability to work in an environment with dust exposure 
Some of your responsibilities include:  
  • Provide superior customer service to our client and site users
  • Perform regular exterior and interior patrols, including mechanical rooms  
  • Equipment alarm response and monitoring
  • Provide access control as per site regulations, including issuing of access cards
  • Investigate security incidents, escalating as necessary
  • Maintains a safe environment for all personnel and the public 
  • Report all incidences to the Site Supervisor and provide investigation report.
