Position Overview Reporting to the Director, Client Services, the Enhanced Operations Manager will oversee the CBSA contract with Commissionaires BC, ensuring the success of the team and working closely with the client/stakeholders to address any concerns.
Major Responsibilities
Manage delivery of service and team of staff at a CBSA Immigration Holding Centre in Surrey
Regularly meet with client to discuss staffing requirements, identify client concerns and to facilitate proactive service delivery
Understand and manage staffing requirements at the site, ensuring adequate coverage of all roles across the location
Have a strong understanding and oversight of the specifics and protocols of all enhanced guarding roles across the site
Ensure compliance with all site SOPs at all times, documenting and escalating any issues or concerns to the client
Conduct and document site risk assessments, in accordance with existing policies and procedures
Perform all other duties as assigned
People Management
Create an environment for positive employee relations by using sound judgment and working with the client and Commissionaires human resources to ensure the fair and consistent treatment of all employees
Build and support a high-performance team through the effective leadership and management of people
Monitoring training of all staff to ensure compliance
Provide direct supervision and leadership to shift supervisors, ensuring they have the information, support, equipment and required kit needed to successfully perform their delegated responsibilities
Conduct investigations & complete required investigation reports as per established standards and protocols.
Works with recruitment team to ensure effective placement of employees
Identify training needs and facilitate on-site training as required
Education & Knowledge Education:post-secondary degree or diploma in management or business administration or equivalent professional experience. Experience:5+ years of relevant client services and/or contract/operations management experience in a field directly related to law enforcement Skills and Requirements

Proactive team leader with excellent problem solving skills
Proven time management and organizational skills
Valid clean class 5 BC Driver’s License
Valid BC Security License
Advanced Security Training certificate
Basic First Aid certificate
Required Security Clearances
Public Works and Governments Services Canada (PWGSC) Basic Reliability (must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen to obtain this clearance)
