Commissionaires BC is currently looking for security guards with a passion for customer service to work at the HMCS Discovery in Stanley Park.

Position days and hours: Saturday & Sunday, 0700 - 1900

Payrate: $21/hr

Some of your responsibilities include:

Controlling access to site
Conducting security and fire patrols during silent hours
Reporting any unauthorized activities to Site Supervisor and Facility Manager
Reporting all noteworthy incidents to Facility Manager, Site Supervisor and Commissionaires Management
Answering the main gate’s telephone
Checking both land-line and cell phone voice mails
Checking computer for e-mails and appointments
Securing gate when guard house is not manned
Maintaining control of keys and ensuring the key log book is completed correctly
Conducting basic public relations, dealing with questions from members of public

Your Must – Haves …

Valid BC Security Licence
Been resident in Canada for a minimum of 5 years for clearance eligibility
OFA 1 Certificate

Physically able to perform assigned duties, including the ability to conduct extensive foot patrols
Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
